Public Awareness

As part of ECPAC’s core business to enhance the early childhood system in Adams County, ECPAC supports common messaging to raise awareness about the importance of the early childhood years.

To this end, using the results of the Early Childhood Leadership Commission Communication Study, ECPAC works to reduce “communication noise, increase the quality of messaging, and provide greater emphasis on the two-way responsive engagement.”

As a part of our Child Maltreatment Prevention work, ECPAC is working to shift social norms related to help-seeking and the importance of social connections. All families need support – whether that’s a local resource, public benefits, or help from a friend or family member. The following are some of the messages created through the Child Maltreatment Prevention Action Team in hopes of decreasing stigma, increasing help-seeking behaviors, and promoting the the importance of caring relationships and the Strengthening Families 5 Protective Factors.
