Parenting isn’t always easy and all families need support to raises happy, healthy kids. Adams County has many no-cost programs that may be available to you – your child’s first and most important teacher.

Whether in your home, or somewhere else in your community, these programs work alongside you so your child is healthy and ready for kindergarten!

• Nurse Family Partnership (NFP): Are you pregnant with your first baby? Free personal nurses through NFP can provide resources, help in accessing services, and parenting support through the child’s second birthday. For more information contact Kimberly / 720-295-1355.
• Nurse Support Program (NSP): The Nurse Support Program is a nurse home visitation program for families that live in Adams County. The nurses visit in the home to help families with parenting and health questions, finding resources to reach employment and financial goals, have a healthy pregnancy, improve the health of their children, and to find community resources. • Parents as Teachers (PAT) – home-based parent program for families with children from prenatal to kindergarten. Trained parent educators partner with families to promote school readiness, discuss parenting strategies, and support family well-being.

Naloxone is an opioid antidote capable of reversing overdoses. At no cost, Adams County Health Department provides Naloxone and trainings on how to administer Naloxone. Below are the 24/7 outdoor kiosks that contain free naloxone, fentanyl test strips, and more.
